With Richland's central location in the state, area residents are always kept up to date on happenings in Mississippi and the world. A variety of media options are available to residents of Richland.

Newspapers

  • The Clarion-Ledger is Mississippi's daily statewide newspaper. Subscriptions may be purchased by calling (601) 961-7200.
  • The Rankin County News is a weekly newspaper devoted to the happenings in Rankin County. Subscriptions may be purchased by calling (601) 825-8333.
  • The Richland Connection is a bi-monthly local paper produced by a group of volunteers and printed by City Hall. It is mailed to all residents and businesses in Richland at no charge. To advertise, get on the mailing list, submit information, or volunteer, call Terri Wood at (601) 932-1256.

Television/Cable Networks

  • There are five network television stations received by residents of Richland: WAPT-Channel 16 (ABC), WJTV-Channel 12 (CBS), WLBT-Channel 3 (NBC), WDBD-Channel 40 (FOX), and WMAA-Channel 29 (Mississippi Public Broadcasting).
